Hoverboard, prototype with approx 30Kg capacity.

This is my attempt at making a hoverboard for my kids, its based on a hovercraft and has a skirt around the perimeter. The two Electric Ducted Fans (EDF’s) blow air into the hull which then fills the skirt, and air escaping the skirt underneath the hull makes it hover at about 50-75mm. I wasn’t sure how much weight this would lift but it managed to lift my little 5 year old girl.
As a prototype this worked quite well, but for it to work as a hovering skateboard it would need to have a bit more air flow and bigger area.
