Webinar on Kushinagar – A Destination in the Making

For tourists who follow the trail of Buddhism in India and are influenced by the teachings of Lord Buddha, Uttar Pradesh has been amongst the most important places for them in the country. Kushinagar is the most important part of the entire Buddhist Circuit or let’s say Buddhism as it was here that Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana after his death. But very few know that Kushinagar is much more than just the place where Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana and that the destination is important beyond Buddhism too. The Government of Uttar Pradesh is looking at Kushinagar with high hopes and has done a lot of work in and around it. Still Kushinagar sadly gets only one night of stay from Buddhist tourists though it deserves more. This session intends to bring out the character of this destination, all the developments in and around and above all opportunities for investments in tourism.
