While speaking at a seminar titled ‘India, China and the Politics of SCO’ Wednesday, JNU professor Happymon Jacob said that the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation’s ability to financially stabilise Afghanistan was highly doubtful. He also added that Chinese funding in Afghanistan was far too less compared to the investments made by Western governments and India in the war-torn country. The session was hosted by the Institute of Chinese Studies and chaired by former ambassador Yogendra Kumar.
