Flipping the Cybertruck: Thousands of people are starting to experience a strange moment. A legacy auto truck appears to be good, standard, and tough at first glance, exactly how you would expect a truck to appear. The Cybertruck has a strange and perplexing appearance. Then, after you’ve stared at the Cybertruck for a long time, something happens. Isn’t it starting to look kind of cool now? The angular, shocking design creates a breathtaking panoramic all-glass cabin experience, ideal for taking in the scenery in an autonomous truck. The more you think about the Cybertruck, the more you see yourself in one. All of a sudden, the old gas-powered trucks appear to be obsolete, and the Cybertruck seems to be the future. This is a brilliant branding move.
This approach is risky when entering a new market. A new look may age your opponents. BAD PRODUCTS WILL MAKE YOU LOOK OFF. Cybertruck did it. The silhouette alone identifies this truck. A design that will delight many seems absurd at first, but now it appears to be very unique. It will be popular. The Cybertruck design is outstanding, providing Tesla with a branding edge over generic trucks. Tesla omitted to brand the three most popular trucks. Most people can’t tell which truck is whose without the front branding. A distinctive design that makes competitors look obsolete and your product look futuristic may result in a superior design. Soon we’ll see Cybertruck clones cashing in on Tesla’s amazing branding.
