CES 2017: scooters, electric bikes, hoverboards, and other electric rideables!
There were some big brands (Segway, Swagtron, Onewheel, etc), and a LOT of smaller brands, trying to get a piece of the pie.
2016 was a big year for electric rideables, but I think each year it’s going to keep growing and more people with be purchasing these e-rides, for both business and pleasure.
The biggest name I saw with a lot to test out and big new hot products coming soon, was Swagtron.
-T6 All-Terrain Hoverboard: 10″ inflatable tires. Supports riders up to 420 lbs. Governed at 8 MPH. Range of 11 miles. Bluetooth speakers, app control, built-in carrying handle.
-SwagSurf: a motorized surfboard! Good for both ocean or lakes. Hydrofoil design to lift the board up and out of the water. A leash to hold on, with wireless speed remote control.
-SwagCycle: a small, ultra portable and affordable e-bike (electric bicycle). Folds down to fit in a car trunk, easy to ride, plus a cool bonus USB plug to charge your phone on the go.
-SwagCycle Hybrid City Bike: a power-assist, sleek and modern looking e-bike. Good for city traffic or cross-country road riding.
-Monster SwagCycle: an electric mountain bike design, with massive tires, optional add-on headlamp, speaker, and other accessories. This would be a ton of fun to test on the San Diego beaches near me.
-New stand up Electric Scooter: front wheel suspension, top speed ~18 MPH, distance ~15 miles. Folds down fast and easy, plus little wheels to roll around.
