Today, I wanted to touch on The Future Of “Crypto Cities”, what vitaliks vision that was just announced on his website, and the future of real blockchain based cities and metaverse based cities as well…
This topic is extremely interesting to me, because it sort of manifests futuristic versions of whats been depicted in sc-fi novels and movies, such as blade runner, which is pretty wild.
Now alot of what I’m about to cover is outlined in a blog post on vitaliks website, which I will link to in the description, but will be adding my own thoughts as well.
In a blog post published on Sunday, Ethereum (ETH) co-founder Vitalik Buterin voiced his support for utilizing the cryptocurrency phenomena to serve the interests of local governments and their citizens.
Specifically, Buterin discussed the formation of city tokens and decentralized autonomous organizations, known as DAOs.
DAOs are self-governing organizations where users draft and enforce rules themselves, such as voting on protocol amendments based on the amount of the underlying crypto tokens they hold.
