World’s First Electric Cargo Ship is Finally Here!!

This amazing vessel’s name is Yara Birkeland.
The Yara Birkeland was created by the chemical company Yara International with the goal of reducing nitrogen oxide emissions, which are hazardous pollutants and greenhouse gases, as well as diverting freight away from highways and toward the sea.

Yara International claims to have developed the world’s first zero-emission, self-sailing electric cargo ship for the transportation of commodities.
