On the first episode of Let’s Play Alien: Isolation, Amanda Ripley is approached by a man from Weyland-Yutani who believes the Company may have finally discovered some information regarding the disappearance of her mother and the Nostromo, 15 years earlier. Specifically, a ship found the Nostromo’s black box, and now a team is traveling to Sevastopol Station to retrieve it and review it’s contents. Amanda is invited to join them so she can find closure, and she reluctantly agrees. Amanda, Samuels, and a Wey-Yu legal executive named Taylor travel to Sevastopol aboard the Torrens, a cargo ship very similar to the Nostromo. Waking from hypersleep, Ripley then explores the ship, looking at all the food options and trying to find her pants. Once dressed, we step onto the bridge, and the Torrens captain attempts to contact the station, to no avail. With the docking bay damaged, the trio is forced to suit up and EVA over to the station, but this goes awry when something explodes and Ripley ends up alone in an airlock. Stranded for the moment, we’ll have to explore the seemingly empty station and try to figure out what the situation is here and why the place is falling apart.
