Despite sanctions imposed by the US on Xinjiang’s polysilicon companies over baseless claims of forced labor, local authorities say the installed capacity of photovoltaic panels and solar power generation in Hami are growing.
In October, China released a detailed action plan which states that the share of non-fossil energy consumption will be increased to around 20 percent by 2025, 25 percent by 2030, and over 80 percent by 2060.
