In this video we should you the Phrom Phong area of Bangkok. Phrom Phong is a vibrant and busy place in downtown Bangkok. It’s one of our favourite places in the city and today we’ll show you what living here has to offer.
Let’s start with accommodation. Phrom Phong is the perfect location for long and short term stays in the city. Condo rentals have never been cheaper and the deals on hotels are actually unbelievable. Our hotel recommendations are Emporium Suites and the Carlton Hotel. If you’re looking for a longer stay try Emporio, The Park 24 and Lumpini 24. These are great condos.
Transportation is super convenient. You’ve got the BTS Skytrain which is only one station from Asok. That means you can connect with the MRT Subway. Having easy access to both BTS Skytrain and MRT Subway means you can avoid Bangkok’s traffic jams.
Shopping is fantastic here too and the choices are endless. I highlighted Emquartier Shopping Mall as one of our favourites. Nune loves shopping in Chanel and Alexander Wang but I go there for Kinokuniya bookstore.
When it comes to restaurants Phrom Phong is up there with the best that Bangkok has to offer. You’ll find Italian, Thai (obviously), Fish & Chips, Brazilian, Mexican restaurants as well as many many more. We also show you some great cafes in the area too.
What would Bangkok be without it’s nightlife! There are so many bars here it would be impossible to show you all but the ones I do show are top-notch. You won’t be disappointed. There’s a huge fitness scene in Bangkok now and Phrom Phong has many gyms to choose from. We highlight the one we think is the best as well as show you
