1) Mumbai–Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor is an under-construction high-speed rail line connecting India’s economic hub Mumbai with the city of Ahmedabad. When completed, it will be India’s first high-speed rail line.
2)New Delhi: State-run engineering firm BHEL on Wednesday announced its tie up with SwissRapide AG to bring Maglev trains (magnetic levitation) to India. … It holds the unique position of offering Transrapid Maglev technology, the only established and commercially proven ultra-high-speed Maglev Rail system in the world.16-Sept-2020
3)In India, Maharashtra has deemed hyperloop a public infrastructure exercise and approved the Virgin Hyperloop-DP World consortium as the original project proponent for the Mumbai Pune hyperloop project.
4)NCRTC initiated the civil construction work on the 17 km (11 mi) long priority section between Sahibabad and Duhai to meet the challenging target of operationalizing it by March 2023.The civil construction work was initiated within a span of 3 months of foundation stone ceremony. The entire 82 km (51 mi) long Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor, however, will be operational by 2025.
