Great Decisions is America’s largest civic-education program on U.S. foreign policy and global affairs. The Great Decisions program is produced by the Foreign Policy Association to provide guidelines for starting and promoting Great Decisions discussion groups. It began in 1954 and the program has been active in Tulsa through the Friends of the Tulsa City-County Libraries for close to 50 years. There is a briefing book that highlights nine of the most thought-provoking foreign-policy challenges facing Americans. It provides background information, current data and policy options for each. Most importantly though is that it serves as the focal text for discussion groups. The book costs $28 and is available for purchase with cash or check.
