From twisted buildings to withdrawing pieces of gold from ATMs, to underwater trains, this city has never ceased to amaze us. Thus now getting dubai solar.
And some might wonder, where does all the money come from? How can they possibly pay for such things? The majority of people will say that Dubai’s wealth comes from oil, just like the rest of the Arab Emirates. But in Dubai’s case, it’s actually the opposite.
Dubai is a uniquely affluent emirate because it isn’t dependent on selling oil to grow. Their mixed economy is based around trade, transportation, technology, tourism, and finance. Now they are spending some of there money on solar power.
With the world’s busiest international passenger traffic, Dubai has become the gateway to the East. But the emirate is no longer just a stopover for rich travelers. Dubai is the globally admired destination for the rich and famous and everyone in between. Therefore it should not come as a surprise when I tell you that they are expanding in solar power.
