While many believe there might be flying cars in the near future, there’s now a product in construction that gives new meaning to the words ‘air travel’.

Introducing Air Yacht – a futuristic concept for a “superyacht” with 10 bedrooms that is set to fly across the skies with the ease of a helium balloon.

The ship-cum-plane will run completely off renewable gases including helium and hydrogen, and even features a helipad, should you want to add another mode of transport.

On the Air Yacht, two 150m blimp-shaped vehicles are attached together via four bridges to a central hull, measuring 80m and are constructed fully out of carbon fibre.

Due to this design, the body of the yacht is stable enough to fly and land on any surface with perfect balance.

Inside the two blimps – known as “floating balloons” – are multiple tanks used to store its energy source, which can provide enough energy to last a 48-hour flight.

As well as this, the lower side of the structure comprises an inflatable basement, which accommodates inflatable lifeboats and aids the yacht whilst it touches down on the water.

Inside the main area of the boat, you’ll find a spacious living room, with an open plan dining area, as well as 10 luxurious suites.

Atop the unique yacht, is a swimming pool, as well as the aforementioned helipad with accompanying helicopter – something you won’t find on many regular yachts.

Although this concept isn’t designed for public transportation or tourist purposes yet, the company has envisioned a single owner with a passion for evolution in the aviation industry.

Capable of travelling at a speed of 60 knots in air and five knots on the water, to maintain a quiet sail, this yacht has everything you need for a futuristic trip.

Lazzarini studios, which is designing the project, said: “With the Air Yacht, there is a way to sail the sky without emissions damaging the future.”

The manufacturing company hopes the air yacht will provide a ‘greener’ and more sustainable mode of flying transportation.
