During the Showa period, from the 1950s to 1970s, most of the illustrated articles anticipating what life would be like in the 21st century were a nonsensical parade of daydreams, fantasy, and wild flights of imagination. The futuristic illustrations from that period collected in this book are grouped in six categories; everyday life, modes of transportation, robots, computers, space, and the end of the world.

Weird and wonderful 1960s and 1970s Japanese underground pop cult art and design.
