About the Webinar:
Vulnerability and disruption in the supply of fossil fuels, ever-increasing cost, and a limited stockpile of commercial fuels will require radical changes in personal and public transport systems in the near future. Therefore, sustainable transportation systems need to be identified, discussed, popularised and practiced.

Government policies and mandates, low carbon emission, environmental benefits, advancement in technology, subsidies, and tax rebates have resulted in increased adoption of Electric Vehicles (EV) as the future of transportation. Mass adoption of EVs has many-fold impacts on the electric grid and supporting ecosystems. The increased number of EVs and other reliable transportation options bring in new challenges for the energy sector. Maintaining a balance between different ecosystems is therefore imperative.

The extent of the impact on the ecosystem and electric grids depends on country-specific EV road maps, policies to adopt EV, and other solutions showing commitment towards green energy. The challenges faced across the globe are not unique, and it is possible to learn from earlier experiences of policymakers, industry, academia, utilities, and NGOs to further strengthen the confidence level of all stakeholders. In this context, an expert session is being arranged, on the occasion of National Science Day, to deliberate and enlist the best practices being followed by different key players working in the field of sustainable electric mobility
