The competition in the transportation industry is getting hotter year after year as manufacturers are trying to sell their new and updated vision of the commuting vehicle of the future. There are many reasons why companies all over the world are trying to redesign the way we travel in the cities: since most of us are still using cars and bulky SUVs to travel within the urban zones and there is a generally accepted consensus that these vehicles take up too much space and it’s not the best option out there.

As a result, we see creative ideas that involve the engineering of small electric vehicles that could be as agile as a motorcycle, take much less space on the road than a regular car but offer better passenger comfort, safety and cargo carrying capabilities than a bike.

All of these have high-torque electric motors but are also equipped with pedals that could be used to extend the riding range, just like any other velomobile that we covered in our previous EV roundups.

If you somehow missed our videos on electrified transport, here is the dedicated playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLeYSci69dx4lp9xBgbW-pLJ-1G-wphplS

In this video presentation we went over some of the newest inventions in the field of small electric transport for urban commuting, we mentioned the prices, technical and design peculiarities of these products:
