For this final term, Basic Engineering B students have to create a sustainable yet creative solution for a community issue that we have observed. This is supported along with the various outcomes and the Learner Outcomes of social problem solving, creativity and innovation, and expert thinking. I’ve chosen the community issue of the worsening of air quality that is impacting citizen’s health. Connecting it with the SDG of Good Health and Wellbeing, Sustainable Cities and Communities, and Climate Action. I came up with the solution of the Exhaust Filter, a filter to put in transportation’s exhaust with the purpose of minimizing carbon dioxide as to not contribute into global warming and the negative impacts to human’s health.
