Cartoons have played a huge role in shaping up the growing minds of children, especially the ones with superheroes who saved the earth, cosmos, or even the people of their small town from thieves. Many Hanna Barbera cartoons were built on this very foundation. Joseph Barbera and William Hanna both worked at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer at the same time, during The Great Depression, and it wasn’t long until the co-workers became friends, and went on to produce 114 Tom and Jerry shorts over seventeen years. Finally, in 1957, with a coin toss won by Hanna, Hanna-Barbera Productions was born. After that, they were on a roll of producing cartoons, with plenty of science fiction themes that had some unforgettable superheroes, and there was no stopping them. However, decades passed, and other cartoons overshadowed these iconic productions of the 60s and 70s, which were way ahead of their time.
