Modular industrial plant design company JordProxa, headquartered in Australia, and lithium brinefield technology provider Zelandez, based in Argentina, have signed a partnership to rapidly increase the supply of lithium from North and South American lithium brine mining companies.

The partnership’s main focus will be deployment of Zelandez’s Early Lithium Carbonation Facility (ErLi), a prefabricated unit for production of lithium carbonate leased from Zelandez and designed for early extraction of high-quality lithium reserves before permanent facilities are built. JordProxa will provide engineering, fabrication and ongoing technical support for the ErLi modules.

“If we want to increase the supply of lithium into the US, the key is to build prefabricated lithium plants—and a lot of them,” said Zelandez co-founder and Director Clint Van Marrewijk.

Elie Sakhat, Director of JordProxa, commented, “The ErLi concept from Zelandez improves the integration of the lithium production process and will unlock more high-quality lithium assets.”
