Delta-Q Technologies provides charging solutions from 350 W to 36 kW for material handling, e-mobility, construction and other markets.

Acculon Energy manufactures battery systems for industrial equipment and critical power applications, from drop-in packs in standard BCI footprints to high-voltage systems. The company builds its lithium-ion and sodium-ion products at a 2 GWh manufacturing plant in Mason, Ohio.

Now Delta-Q has named Acculon Energy as the newest partner in its battery compatibility program, Charged by Delta-Q. This program is designed to help OEMs identify battery, BMS and charger combinations that have been validated for compatibility and performance.

The addition of Acculon Energy brings sodium-ion technology to the program for the first time, giving OEMs access to a pre-validated battery and charging solution for material handling, cold storage and other demanding applications. Sodium-ion is emerging as a good option for these applications, thanks to its potential advantages in cold-temperature operation, fast charging and durability.

“The introduction of Acculon’s sodium-ion technology into the Charged by Delta-Q ecosystem marks an important milestone for our compatibility program,” said Sarah MacKinnon, CEO of Delta-Q Technologies. “Through our collaboration, we’re helping OEMs evaluate and deploy emerging battery chemistries with confidence while reducing the complexity and risk of integration.”

“Working with Delta-Q has reinforced the importance of validating the complete battery and charging system, not just the battery itself,” said Andrew Thomas, cofounder and President of Acculon Energy. “As sodium-ion adoption accelerates, OEMs need confidence that their batteries, charging systems, and vehicle platforms are working together to deliver reliable and predictable performance. Charged by Delta-Q provides an excellent framework for that collaboration.”
