Part 2 of the series begins with the overwhelming success of the Disneyland Railroad and the immediate need to expand the system to accommodate the crowds. When Walt Disney dreamed up Disneyland, he also had an idea to construct the world’s largest scale model railroad. These steam trains have covered enough distance around Disneyland to circle the globe more than 300 times! This episode is part two in a series of four.
NOTES:
For you Dinosaur enthusiasts out there, yes I know some of the dinosaurs are not named correctly. Names such as “Brontosaurus” are not attributable to a real dinosaur, and that is on PURPOSE. The dinosaurs in Walt’s Primeval World diorama were NOT intended to be accurate, they were intended to be modeled off his Fantasia cartoon from 1940 which itself was not intended to be accurate. Walt himself gave the names of some of the dinosaurs in the diorama such as “Brontosaurus and Tyrannosaurus Rex (even though it looks more like an Allosaurus)”
