This is my entry for Twinmotion Dezeen Challenge “Redesign the World” called UNKNOWN FAMILIAR.
Nowadays, it is imperative to conceive a creative and respectful system to address combine issues of climate change, population growth, food shortages and so on, to change radically our current way of living.
Cities will reduce their foot print by creating a connection with nature trough modular Highrise buildings system that creates a strong relationship between people and their food. The result will be in a form of a flexible urban farm, a hybrid building that provides for the vertical community working all together reducing extensive use of farmlands. On the country side, vertical farms within greenhouses that protect food against varying weather and plagues. Mediating between technology and agriculture/animal breeding, all the food chain will be control remotely using advance drones using sensors that will give us all the data monitoring the process.
It is time to return to basics with high-tech technology, all constructions will be made of cross laminated timber panels used to develop the modular system reducing environmental footprint and construction time, clean and efficient energy and water system, roof and walls covered by nature creating a comfortable internal and external atmosphere. Moreover, humans will build cities on the water regions, those will have a sustainable system with control areas for fishing, wind and underwater turbines generating energy for the city and electric and win-based transport systems.
The future of transportation will be influenced by a higher integration between physical and information systems. To solve the transportation issue humans will design a tree sections underground mode of transportation. (the air will be cleared by complete eliminating aircrafts) The first level will connect accessing electric and self-driving cars for individuals and public in general, these cars will connect all the parts of the city. These changes can be the result of better-performing infrastructure and vehicles and the usage of information technologies to manage operations more effectively. The second level will use a public train system network, connecting towns and closer cities, while contactless systems that allow personal electric vehicles to recharge on the go, these systems also will hold potential for making mass transportation greener and more efficient recharging and producing energy while on the move. The third level will have a hyperloop system to connect large distances around the globe, capsules shaped pods which will travel at supersonic speed reducing commuting times. These solutions represent more than autonomous efficiencies, but rather a Smart Mobility mentality. All of these futuristic mobility systems will communicate with each other, with smart infrastructure with customers and gather mass amounts of data to drive further efficiencies while they move around Smart Cities around the globe.
Finally, the planet itself will recover natural ecosystems, we will live a greener and brighter future and perhaps human will reduce the breach created in all societies around the world simply by fully implementing the efficiency measures that territories have already pledged to pursue already helping the planet to draw a clear dividing line between hope and despair.
