Virgin Hyperloop conducted its first passenger test at the company’s 500 meter DevLoop test site in Las Vegas, on 8 November 2020. On the Virgin Hyperloop pod, the first passengers were Josh Giegel (Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer) and Sara Luchian (Director of Passenger Experience). For the first passenger test, the top speed reached was 48 m/s (172.8 km/h, 107.3 miles/h).
