San Francisco Future Downtown Mega Project ( 2018 – 2030)

A new mega project named Transbay Transit Center development will change the face of San Francisco forever.
San Francisco, is the cultural, commercial, and financial center of Northern California. The city has a population of over 8 million people in its agglomeration. Normally, San Francisco is known for the Silicon Valley, an place where a lot of big tech companies like Tesla, AMD, Cisco, Facebook or Google were created.

San Francisco is also known for the Golden Gate bridge, the Alcatraz island and its Bay,which is one of the prettiest in the world.

The massive undertaking, designed by renowned architecture firm Pelli Clarke Pelli will bring together 11 systems of local and national transportation, serving 45 million people per year. In addition to securing access to myriad transit lines, the project will also provide downtown San Francisco with a 5.4-acre rooftop park, designed by PWP Landscape Architecture, along with numerous cultural programs. The project is budgeted at 4.2 billion dollars and is projected for completion in 2018.

But the city was until now, not known for its modern architecture. Fortunately, the Transbay are will be redeveloped very soon. This mega project includes San Francisco transbay terminal, which will be one of the most beautiful terminal in the world. The project will also include 3 skyscrapers . The tallest will be named Saleforce tower. This skyscraper measures 326 meters and has 60 storeys. Salesforec tower was designed by Cesar pielli and opened in January 2018.

The 2 other skyscrapers named 181 Fremont(241 m) and Oceanwide Center (277m) will be completed in 2018 and 2022.

The future skyline of San Francisco will be beautiful and futuristic.
