Android Automotive OS is Google new all-in-one approach to the car’s infotainment system. While it shares similarities with Android Auto, Android Automotive does not require a companion Android handset to work since it runs Android on its own.
This Android for Cars demo walks through the features and show how different apps will operate and how car manufacturers will also be able to design their own apps to run on Android Automotive to control the various controls for the vehicle.
