I am working on Hoverboard to Onewheel conversion but with additional firmware changes. All current conversions were using stock hoverboard firmware which is not even close to the original onewheel behavior.
I am trying to use hoverboard-firmware-hack-FOC by EFeru to write a new balance algorithm making this conversion even more fun.
For now, I added a standard hoverboard balance algorithm based on PID control. The next step will be to create a new “Onewheel” variant and try to make it a bit more fun to ride.
Here I am using:
– official hoverboard-firmware-hack-FOC + Hoverboard variant with added balance algorithm.
– hoverboard-sideboard-hack-GD as a sensor board firmware.
